1. AGREEMENT TO TERMS

By creating an account or using the Wé mobile application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use Wé.

2. WHO CAN USE Wé

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your country, to create an account. By signing up you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate and current.

3. YOUR ACCOUNT

You are responsible for safeguarding your PIN, your phone number, and any device you stay signed in on. You are responsible for every action taken under your account. If you suspect unauthorised use, email we.application.notifications@gmail.com immediately so we can lock the account.

If you invite salespeople or other staff to your store, you are responsible for the access you grant them and for revoking it when they leave your business.

4. WHAT THE SERVICE PROVIDES

Wé provides software tools for inventory management, recording over-the-counter sales, tracking what customers owe you, change IOU notes, employee activity tracking, business analytics, AI advisory, and recording which payment method (such as cash or Mobile Money) was used for a sale, for African retailers. Wé does not process payments between you and your customers and does not move or hold funds. Specific features depend on your subscription plan and may evolve over time.

6. SUBSCRIPTIONS, PRICING, AND PAYMENTS

Wé offers tiered plans (Starter, Pro, Business). Starter is free with usage limits. Pro and Business are paid subscriptions billed monthly or annually in XAF.

Prices are displayed in-app at the time of purchase and may be updated from time to time. Continuing your subscription after a price change is your acceptance of the new price. We will notify you in-app before any price change affecting an active subscription takes effect.

Paid subscriptions are billed through our third-party billing provider. The provider handles the charge directly on its own interface. Wé never sees or stores your billing PIN. We retain only the transaction reference, amount, and status returned by the provider.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You can cancel at any time in Settings. On cancellation, your plan remains active until the end of the paid period, after which it reverts to Starter.

Refunds are not provided for partial billing periods or for unused time on an active subscription, except where required by applicable law.

7. PLAN LIMITS AND GATED FEATURES

Each plan has explicit limits on stores, products, employees, and access to advanced features (analytics, AI advisor, product images, priority support, PDF receipts). The current limits are visible in-app on the Billing screen and may be adjusted from time to time. If a limit changes in a way that reduces your existing usage, we will notify you and give you a reasonable grace period to upgrade or remove excess data.

8. YOUR DATA AND CONTENT

You own the business data you enter into Wé (sales, products, customers, balance records, expenses, photos). You grant us a limited licence to host, process, and back up that data solely to provide the Service. You can export or delete your data at any time. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

9. SERVICE AVAILABILITY

We work to keep Wé available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, infrastructure issues, or events outside our control may cause downtime. The app is designed offline-first: most features keep working without an internet connection, and your data syncs once you are back online.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

Wé, its name, logo, branding, software, and content are owned by Wé and its licensors. The licence we grant you is non-exclusive, non-transferable, and limited to using Wé for the operation of your own business. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Wé integrates with PayUnit, Firebase (authentication, messaging, crash reporting), Cloudinary (product image hosting), and Railway (database hosting). Use of those services is subject to their own terms. We are not responsible for outages, billing issues, or data handling by third parties beyond our reasonable control.

12. DISCLAIMERS

Wé is provided "as is" and "as available." To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, fully secure, or fit for any particular regulatory regime in your jurisdiction. You are responsible for confirming that your use of Wé complies with the laws that apply to your business.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Wé's total liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the subscription fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose, or (b) 10,000 XAF. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost business opportunities, or lost data.

14. TERMINATION

You may stop using Wé at any time by deleting your account in Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if your account is inactive for more than 24 months, or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, your data is deleted within 30 days, except for records we are legally required to retain.

15. GOVERNING LAW AND DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally will be brought before the competent courts of Douala, Cameroon. Nothing in this section limits any rights you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your country of residence.

16. CHANGES TO THESE TERMS

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with an updated "Last updated" date and, for material changes, give you in-app notice before they take effect. Continued use of Wé after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
